FM 102 - Using the Basic Devices in PIPE-FLO (4 Hours)
FM 102 will give users hands-on experience using PIPE-FLO in a Virtual Instructor Lead Training (VILT) environment to gain an in-depth understanding of the basic devices modeled in PIPE-FLO: the pipe, pressure boundary, flow demand, tank, reducer, fixed dP device, and curve dP device. Students will learn the uses of each device, the required and optional design data, and calculated results available for analysis. While becoming more proficient in navigating the user interface, students will learn the engineering principals and industry standards used to perform a steady-state hydraulic analysis of these basic piping system devices. Exercises using PIPE-FLO will reinforce the workflow to create a piping system digital twin and build confidence in the calculated results of the analysis.
